I met a gentleman last week and he was complaining that he needed help finding a job. He was recently released from prision. I asked him if he was interested in a construction job, He stated no, “I would rather work in the kitchen?” I said what? This job is paying $14.00 an hour! He shrugged his shoulders and said. “I don’t want to work construction”. I was shocked. Simply because number one, the economy weak, number 2 he was recently release from prision, and lastly I was a referral for him to get that job.
In my day, you take what you can get to survive and worry about the wants later. I really don’t believe in passing up opportunities.
